Cotton and Cotton Blends
Cotton is one of the most widely used fibers for clothing in the world. Because it is grown so extensively, it is also one of the most affordable fibers as well. It also has many advantages. It is probably most popular because it is comfortable, soft and absorbent. It is an easy care fabric that can be machine wased as well as dry cleaned. It has fairly good color retention, strength and durability.
In Uniform garments, cotton is often blended with Polyester, in order to take advantage of some of its benefits. The blended fabric is softer and stronger than the cotton. It also exhibits improved color retention and wrinkle resistance. Elbeco Uniform styles made from cotton blends include:
- Paragon Plus™ - poly/cotton blended uniform shirts.
- TekTwill™ - poly/cotton blended uniform shirts, trousers and shorts.
- Regulation Knits™ 100% cotton uniform polo, turtleneck and mock turtleneck shirts and dickies and the Regulation Plus™ cotton/quikdry blended polo shirt.
- Express™ dress shirts styled for transportation, airlines, cruiseliner and other career apparel functions.
